Welcome to SharePix, a simple and private way to create and share photo albums with friends, family, and collaborators.

We value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how it's shared, and what choices you have — especially given the app's collaborative nature and use of shareable links.

2. What We Collect

We collect minimal personal information. Specifically:

a. Photos and Albums

• Photos you upload
• Metadata such as timestamps and album names

b. Device Information

• Anonymous device ID
• OS type and version
• App version

c. Usage Data

• Number of uploads, album views, and contributors
• Aggregate analytics (e.g., Firebase or Amplitude)

We do not collect names, email addresses, or contact lists unless explicitly required for premium features or support.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Enable you to create and share albums
• Let others upload and view shared content
• Maintain and improve app performance
• Provide customer support
• Monitor abuse and enforce policies

4. Shareable Album Links

SharePix allows albums to be shared using a private, unlisted URL (e.g., https://sharepix.app/album/xyz123). Anyone with this link can access the album — even if they didn't create it.

We do not list or index these links publicly. However, you should treat shared album links like passwords: don't post them publicly unless you're okay with public access.

5. Data Storage and Security

• Photos are stored securely in Google Firebase Cloud Storage
• Albums and metadata are stored in Firestore
• We implement security rules to limit access to authenticated/authorized actions
• However, as with any system using shared links, perfect security is not guaranteed

6. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Request access or deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent
• File a complaint with your data protection authority

7. Children's Privacy

SharePix is intended for users aged 13 and older. If you are under 13, please do not use the service. Parents who believe their child's data was collected should contact us for deletion.

8. Third-Party Services

We may use the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage)
• Firebase Analytics / Amplitude (for app insights)

Each of these providers has their own privacy practices, which we encourage you to review.

9. Data Retention

We retain your data:

• As long as your album or account is active
• Or until you request deletion

We reserve the right to delete inactive or abusive content at our discretion.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. When we do, we'll notify users via the app or website.
